What does Leny Yoro have that European tycoons crave?

Playing well in the Lille shirt, Leny Yoro has put his name all over the newspapers in the Old Continent.

Leny Yoro (18 years old) has had a remarkable rise with Lille over the past year, to the point where he has become one of the most sought-after young centre-backs. He is rumored to be on the shortlist of the biggest football clubs, such as PSG, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Having gone through the youth ranks at Lille, this teenage player began to play regularly last season. He has stepped up to new heights this season, becoming the number 1 star in Paulo Fonseca 's team . He was even called up for the first time to the French U21 team.

Playing in the right center-back position, Yoro especially shines thanks to his confidence when holding the ball, moving gracefully before bringing the ball to the forward line with high accuracy. He has also shown his ability to be a threat in attacking situations, scoring two goals this season. Quick to fill gaps and intelligent in his ability to read the game, Leny further demonstrated his qualities when playing lowest in the defensive line, not often being overcome by through balls.

Yoro has emerged among an exciting crop of French talent born in 2005, including the likes of Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel, Monaco's Eliesse Ben Seghir, Rennes' Desire Doue and Toulouse's Guillaume Restes. The centre-back could be the first to be called up to the French national team, as he will look to break into Didier Deschamps' squad for next summer's EUROs.

To continue his rapid rise, the young player will most likely look to move to a bigger club next season, possibly one that regularly competes in the Champions League. However, giants who want to sign a contract with Yoro will have to face a huge asking price from Lille's management. They made a request for no less than 90 million euros to part with their crown jewel. This will make him the most expensive midfielder in history, on par with Josko Gvardiol's transfer fee when moving from RB Leipzig to Manchester City last summer.
