Brereton Diaz has been closely followed by MU for a long time.

According to Transfermarkt, Brereton Diaz has scored 9 goals in 23 appearances this season, and contributed 3 assists. Going further, he has a total of 41 goals for Rovers. Last season, Brereton Diaz had a stellar breakout campaign with 22 Championship goals, trailing only Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dominic Solanke in the race for the Golden Boot.

Journalist Dean Jones said: " Even Man United were watching him ."

Southampton, West Ham United and Everton also have Diaz on the radar. Jones clarified: " If Southampton were to buy him, they would have to pay quite a bit to win the race."

Although Diaz's contract expires at the end of the season, Blackburn could well profit from the £7m fee they paid Nottingham Forest in January 2019 for the 23-year-old.
